Hi all! I am so happy to be writing this review for you, today. I read this book, 2.5 of the Addicted series, starring Lily and Lo, while traveling to New York. It was a 24 hour trip there and a 24 hour trip back. We stayed all week! I will post a separate blog to tell you all about it, but first, let’s discuss Lily and Lo’s road to recovery!
Thrive takes places during the events from Kiss the Sky and Hot House Flower ( The Calloway Sisters #1 and #2). The reviews for those books can be found Here and Here and it 
is recommended that you read those two books before starting Thrive, otherwise some events will be spoiled for you.
I think anyone can write about a sex addict and an alcoholic, but I think the Ritchie girls take this story to a whole new level. The character development that transpires for all the characters is mind blowing. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that took their characters so seriously (except the Outlander series, Diana really loves her characters); even a series for that matter. The Addicted series is by far the best romance series I have read (and I absolutely loved Fifty Shades of Grey).
A lot happens in Kiss the Sky and Hot House Flower that is rehashed in Thrive, but some new material was written to make things move forward and doesn’t make you feel as if you are re-reading the Calloway Sisters books. I love how the authors are intertwining the books. I love seeing, in depth, the other sisters and their relationships as well as seeing inside their heads.
Lily and Lo have grown so much in this book. You can definitely see a change in Lo when you read his chapters. Even though he relapses, Lo has grown as a person. I am so proud of Lily for controlling her compulsions and becoming the sister that her siblings always wanted/needed. She still has her moments of insecurity, but overall she also has matured.
I give 5/5 stars. The only thing that disappoints me is that I don’t have these books in my possession! UGH. I need them on my shelves so I can re-read them whenever I need a fix! I love that my friend lets me barrow her books, but it’s not the same as owning your own! Am I right??
